Says it can get 37mpg, so it’s a saver not a sleeper. Most people get Hondas etc.. here so I have never heard of it.

I owned one, coupe version though. The coupe and sedan have very different tail light arrangements.

The XFE was a stripper model - crank windows, manual locks, manual trans w/taller gearing.  Virtually everything was an option, even floor mats.  But it returned 37 MPG highway per EPA estimates, though I routinely saw over 40.

The XFE was just another GM halfass cheap CAFE pandering shit effort.It had revised gearing and axle ratio and a grille shutter and manual windows.

With the XFW shit, it almost got the gas mileage that Toyota and Honda have standard.

I see Cobalt SS' with some irregularity. Seeing and XFE is much more uncommon I think. Not all LS' are XFEs

Oh man. I’m not at all a Chevy guy but I strongly considered buying a Cobalt SS Sedan once. It was maroon, and just looked awesome. But it the timing wasn’t right, so I didn’t even go test drive it.

However the 5 minutes I’ve spent on a Cobalt taught me that I would hate owning a Cobalt unless it was given to me for free. That interior is so bad it made me wish I was in an L body car.

I love the very concept of the SS. Take shitbox, make really fast and fun to drive, ignore literally everything else. There’s something just RAW about it that appeals to me.

The rest of the lineup, yeah not so much.
